Eleanor (Elina or Alienora?) [ ] (fl. 1470-1480); English; speculatively identified by F. Madan in SC V p.338 as Eleanor Nevil, grand-daughter of John of Gaunt. DNB, in the entry for Ralph Nevil, states that Eleanor Nevil's first husband, Richard, Lord de Despenser, died in 1414. There are no specific grounds for seeking an association of 'Elina' with a member of the Nevil(le) family. ♦ Categorisation: Type: Person. Gender: Unknown. Period: unknown century.
