Vettori, Pietro Giacomo (1499-1585); his library was purchased in Rome by the Elector Charles Theodore (d.1799) whose library moved from Mannheim to Munich in 1777; it is therefore possible that this volume was at some stage in the Royal Library, Munich; see Francesco Niccolai, Pier Vettori (1499-1585) (Florence, 1912), 26-7 (for the later history of the library) and 334 (for the ex-libris); for another volume owned by a Piero Vettori see CIBN S-31. ♦ Categorisation: Type: Person.
