Browne, Anthony (sixteenth century);
perhaps to be identified with either Sir Anthony Browne (d.1548), politician; see DNB; or more probably Anthony Browne (1510?–1567), judge; see DNB, who is known to have been acquainted with Watts (d.1555), who is possibly to be identified with the Thomas Watts also named in the inscription.
