Bulley (c.1600); England; inscription `homo bulla Bulley' followed by price. Other Bodleian shelfmarks with this provenance: 4° Z 8 Th. Seld., a1r, also with copious notes in his hand; 8° B 23 Jur. Seld., A1r, 2 shillings; 8° S 20 Th. Seld., a1r, 10 pence; 8° M 27 Th. Seld., a1r, 12 pence; MS. Laud Misc. 206 has motto only. Pearson, Oxford Bookbinding, 160, no. 292.1 notes the provenance of Bodleian, Vet. E1 f.156 as `Thomas Bullie' (sixteenth/seventeenth century); but there is no evidence to suggest that this is the same man. ♦ Categorisation: Type: Person. Gender: Unknown.
