Binding: Contemporary English blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, two clasps lost; staple-marks at head of the upper cover; rebacked. On both covers triple fillets form a double frame; the inner rectangle is divided by triple fillets into lozenge-shaped compartments. In the compartments two triangular stamps, one depicting a beetle, the other a bird, and a lozenge-shaped stamp with a dragon; in the frame a floral roll; for the stamps see Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings, pl. lx, nos 1042-4, for the roll, pl. xxxix, no. 607.
