Binding: Eighteenth-century mottled calf, with a single gold-tooled fillet; marbled pastedowns; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers; similar bindings on A‑234 and A‑559(1).

Contemporary manuscript catchwords at the end of each gathering. Some early marginal notes and pointing hands. Manuscript foliation xlvii–lxx.

Initials, some with infill and extensions into the margins in purple ink, paragraph marks and manuscript foliation from xlvii–lxx are supplied in red, similar to that found in A559(1). Capital strokes and underlining in red.

Binding: Nineteenth-century gold-tooled blue morocco; on both covers two gilt fillets form a frame with rosettes at the corners; within, a similar frame in blank; within, three fillets form a frame with acorn stamps in the corners; gold fillets on edges of boards and turn-ins; edges gilt; marbled pastedowns.
