Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, two clasps lost. Book-label at the head of the upper cover, partly removed. On the upper cover triple fillets form a double frame, the inner one with mitred corners; the inner rectangle is divided by vertical fillets into three compartments. In the outer frame are five different stamps: in the corners, a round stamp depicting St Matthew the evangelist, in the compartments, a tear-drop-shaped stamp with an oak branch, a scroll with the inscription ‘Aue Maria', a foliate ornament and a rectangular stamp with a coat of arms bearing two interlacing vine-stems and lettered ‘E I R'. In the inner frame, rows of a rectangular dragon stamp and the oak-branch stamp, a small lozenge-shaped fleur-de-lis stamp, a small rectangular dog stamp, and one with a flower within a lozenge-shaped frame. In the inner compartments, the latter two alternate; in the central compartment the foliate ornament. Minute rosette and leaf stamps all over. On the lower cover triple fillets form a frame; the inner rectangle is divided by diagonal fillets into lozenge-shaped compartments. In the frame, the same stamps as in the outer frame on the upper cover with the exception of the rectangular stamp with a coat of arms lettered ‘E I R'. In the compartments, the oak-branch stamp, the foliate ornament and fleur-de-lis; minute rosette and leaf stamps all over. For an almost identical binding see B‑110.
