Size: 410 × 300 × 60 and 412 × 300 × 85 mm.

Size of leaf: 395 × 282 mm.

On [a1r] a six-line initial is supplied in interlocked blue and red with pen-flourishing and a grotesque head in the same colours extending into the margins. Headings, chapter numbers, initials, and paragraph marks are supplied in red; red capital strokes and underlining.

Provenance: Georg/Jörg Bürlafinger (fifteenth century); inscription on [F2r]: ‘Jerg Bürlafinger'. Uttenweiler, Württemberg, Augustinian Hermits; on [a1r] and [E1r] the inscription: ‘Fratrum Eremitarum S: Augustini Uttenwilæ'. Purchased for £8. 2. 6; see Books Purchased (1851), 8.
