Leaves a1, N1 and X9 are mutilated; leaves v6v and D4r dirty and damaged. Several leaves torn.

Binding: Seventeenth-century English blind-tooled calf; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at tail of the upper cover.

Initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue; red capital strokes and underlining.

Provenance: John Haward(?), Canon of St Paul's, London (sixteenth century). John Delapeend (sixteenth century); given to him by John Haward(?); on X9v: ‘Liber Johannis Delapeend' ex dono Johannis [ ] Haward(?) presbiteri canonicique ecclesie diui Pauli London' in a sixteenth-century hand. Acquired before 1738; see Fysher, Catalogus I (1738), 152.
