Binding: Seventeenth/eighteenth-century parchment; printer's waste used as reinforcing pieces; two leather straps on each volume missing.

Size of leaf: 265 × 202 mm.
Some early manuscript notes, including a Latin prayer on EE8r and Verg. Ecl. 1. 1-3 on EE8r with the subscription ‘Hec scripsi anno 1567 8° Martii', followed by the dates 1571 and 1581. Notes in a nineteenth-century hand, probably that of van de Velde, on many of the inserted leaves.
On a2r an initial is supplied in blue with floral decoration in green, red, and yellow; other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue.
Provenance: Nicolas le Primost (fl. 1558); on oo7v an inscription: ‘Ce fust escript le xv jo[ur] d'octobre xvcc lviij mois estant clercq de Louvain(?) Nicolas le Primost'. Louvain, Brabant, Jesuits; on a2r and G10r the inscription: ‘Lovanij Societatis Jesu M. B. O. 29'; later inscription on the endleaf. Jean-François van de Velde (1743-1823); inscription on the endleaf of all volumes. Probably the copy purchased for £1. 12. 0; see Books Purchased (1852), 10: ‘s. l. 1846', in the Bodleian copy corrected in pencil to 1486.
