Bound in two volumes (Gn–Ps; Prv–Apc).

Binding: Bound uniformly in contemporary German (Hildesheim, St Godehard; Schwenke–Schunke–Rabenau 120) blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, two metal clasps on each volume, one of which on volume 1 is partly lost; leather index tabs; rebacked. On both covers triple fillets form a frame; the inner rectangle is divided by double fillets into lozenge-shaped compartments. In the compartments six different lozenge-shaped stamps: a small and a larger eagle, a fleur-de-lis, a pair of facing lions and a floral ornament. In the frame, five round stamps: stamps lettered ‘ihs' and ‘mar' (Schwenke–Schunke 282 no. 119 and 287 no. 242: Hildesheim, Godehard), a Virgin and Child (Schwenke–Schunke 198 no. 30: Hildesheim, Godehard), emblems of the Passion (arma Christi; Schwenke–Schunke 81 no. 19: Hildesheim, Godehard) and a lamb and flag (Schwenke–Schunke 154 no. 78: Hildesheim, Godehard). Additional stamps on volume 2 are round symbols of the Evangelists and a lozenge-shaped stamp with a heart.

On a5r a 15-line initial is supplied in blue with white highlighting within a frame of red and gold; a floral border in the outer margin supplied in blue, red, and green. On E1r a floral border is supplied in brown and green. Principal initials are supplied in blue with pen-flourishing in red and green and occasionally in red with pen-flourishing in violet. Initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; red capital strokes and underlining.
