Wanting the blank leaf [a1]; gatherings [m] and [p] are misbound between [e10] and [f1]; the last leaf is backed.

Binding: English eighteenth-century gold-tooled, crushed red morocco, stamped with the arms of the Duke of Roxburghe; marbled pastedowns; gilt-edged leaves; endpapers watermarked ‘Budgen 1795', countermark a fleur-de-lis also dated 1795.

Size: 333 × 240 × 35 mm.

Size of leaf: 322 × 210 mm.

A few early but washed notes still visible.

Provenance: John Ker, 3rd Duke of Roxburghe (1740-1804); sale (18 May 1812), lot 8187, possibly for £8. 8. 0. Purchased for £3. 16. 6; see Books Purchased (1822), 2.
