Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled half pigskin, over wooden boards, with two metal clasps. On the upper cover double fillets form six compartments; in the two upper and lower ones a fleuron and a large circular rosette stamp; in the inner central compartment is a floral staff roll; in the outer headed-outline-tools make up merrythoughts, incorporating the fleuron, and a smaller circular rosette stamp. On the lower cover fillets form three compartments; the fleuron in the upper and lower ones, the merrythoughts in the central one. Lettered on the upper cover in black: ‘F. MINOR. CON. RATIS' (see also T‑090(1)). Label on spine, also ‘N 10' (? shelfmark).

Occasional marginal notes in a seventeenth-century(?) German hand.
