Binding: Seventeenth-century English calf; triple fillets form a border; rebacked. ‘Edward Gwynn' stamped in gold on the upper cover.

Occasional sixteenth-century marginal notes, probably in two or more English hands. Fragment of paper pasted to upper pastedown: ‘John Faringdon | Mar 28 1610 | 3 books'.

Provenance: William Godmersham (fl. 1469-1510); see Ker, Medieval Libraries, 47, 244; inscription on a1r: ‘Liber fratris Willelmi Godmersham monachi Sancti Augustini Cant.' Edward Gwynn († in or shortly after 1645); name stamped on the upper cover. John Selden (1584-1654); Greek motto on a1r; see MS. Broxb. 84. 10, p. 44: ‘Boethius Severinus.
