Size of leaf: 400 × 273 mm.

Early marginal annotations, pointing hands, note marks, and underlining in black ink.

On [a1r] a 13-line initial ‘B' is supplied in interlocked red and blue, with purple pen-work infill and decoration. Other initials, some with extensions into the margins, paragraph marks, reference letters in text, and book numbers are supplied in red. Some chapter titles supplied in red, others in black ink, and repeated at the head of the pages. Capital strokes in red.

Provenance: The two items are decorated in a similar style and were presumably together from an early date. Georg Franz Burkhard Kloß (1787-1854); book-label; sale (1835), lot 2400(1). Purchased for £0. 10. 0; see Books Purchased (1835), 5.
