Pars hiemalis (I) only. Printed on parchment. Calendar bound in the following order: [aa dd bb1-2 cc bb3-4]. [cc] a single sheet printed on one side only.

Binding: Contemporary south German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, with remains of clasps and metal corner-pieces. On both covers fillets form concentric frames, with a floral and foliate roll inside the outer frame. Further fillets form an inner rectangle, with headed-outline-tools forming interlaced merrythoughts. On the spine a repeated lozenge-shaped fleuron (fleur-de-lis) and a repeated lozenge-shaped heart stamp. Leather index tabs; not found in Paul Schwenke, ‘Die Buchbinderei des Petersklosters', in Joseph Theele, Die Handschriften des Benediktinerklosters S. Petri zu Erfurt (Leipzig, 1920), 38-45, nor F. R. Goff, ‘Fifteenth-century Stamped Bindings from the Benedictine Monastery of St Peter at Erfurt', Gb Jb (1969), 274-9.

In an early hand, on [aa1r], the Lord's Prayer and the Creed; on [aa1v], instructions for prayers at liturgical hours (compline, prime, etc.), to be performed by a chapter of monks (probably the Benedictines at Erfurt), also recommendations of other passages from scripture and prayers, and the blessing of the house: ‘Pro priuatim legentibus completis benedictio[nem] ad lectionem collationis noctem quietam tribuat nobis omnipotens et misericors Dominus . . .' and ‘Sequuntur usuales(?), tum versic[uli] et collecta ad beatam uirginem . . . O florens rosa rosa nostri Domini speciosa, o uirgo . . .'; on [aa1v], ‘Agenda capituli post primas', with incipit: ‘Sancta Maria mater Domini nostri Ihesu Christi et omnes sancti intercedant pro nobis . . .' In the Calendarium, obits and other manuscript entries dating from 1483-98, probably in the same hand as the prayers; also several manuscript entries relating to Sebastianus Lang, including his ordination as sub-deacon, deacon, and priest.
