Wanting the two gatherings [1 a] and [2 a], containing the Calendarium and Tabulae; also C3-4 and the blank leaf C6.
Binding: Sixteenth-century, south German or Austrian(?) blind-tooled calf, over wooden boards, with two metal clasps. On both covers triple intersecting fillets form frames, with a floral roll between the second and third sets. Further triple fillets, with a fleur-de-lis at each corner, form an inner rectangle, decorated with an oval floral centre-piece on the upper cover, and a circular one on the lower cover. Rolls and centre-pieces formerly gilded: traces of gilding on the lower cover. The spine is decorated with a repeated small foliate stamp.
Size: 200 × 153 × 75 mm.
Size of leaf: 186 × 134 mm.
Frequent early marginal notes.
Initials are supplied in red or blue. Capital strokes in red.
