Binding: Contemporary French(?) blind-tooled calf over wooden boards; marks of two clasps; the upper cover loose. On both covers multiple fillets form a border; within the frame, a square stamp with a stag; the inner rectangle is divided into three vertical stripes; in the left and right stripes, a small square stamp with a lion; in the central stripe, a round rosette stamp.

Size: 210 × 150 × 45 mm.

Size of leaf: 200 × 137 mm.

On front endleaf, ‘Scribere qui nescit, nullum putat esse laborem' (Walther, Proverbia, 27691, l. 1), ‘Tempore fœlici multi numerantur amici' (Walther, Proverbia, 31227a–31228a, l. 1), ‘Tempora si fuerint nubila solus erit' (Walther, Proverbia, 31216, l. 1), ‘Nullum malum impunitum, nullum bonum inremuneratum (Walther, Proverbia, 39079c). Early marginal notes.
