Campanus, Johannes Antonius

Oratio funebris pro Baptista Sforza, 17 Aug. 1472.

Analysis of Content

[a1r] Campanus, Johannes Antonius: Oratio funebris pro Baptista Sforza. Incipit: ‘Mirantur fortasse plerique vestrum proceres vosque alii summi viri, qui adestis . . .’ See Flavio di Bernardo, Un vescovo umanista alla corte pontificia: Giannantonio Campano, Miscellanea Historiae Pontificiae, 39 (Rome, 1975), 318-21.

Imprint

Imprint: [Rome: Stephan Plannck, 1488-90]. 4°.

Remarks: The end of the text apparently gives the date of the oration as 1 Mar. 1476: this is incorrect, this date being taken from the colophon of an earlier edition of Campanus's oration (Cagli: Roberto [di Fano] and Bernardino [di Bergamo], 1 Mar. 1476; GW 5942).
