Caorsin, Guilelmus

Obsidionis Rhodiae urbis descriptio.

Analysis of Content

a1r Caorsin, Guilelmus: Obsidionis Rhodiae urbis descriptio. Incipit: ‘[R]hodie urbis obsidionem descripturus . . .’ See Fumagalli no. 1092, and C‑049, a2r –b6r.

Imprint

Imprint: [Venice: Erhard Ratdolt, after 19 Aug. 1480]. 4°.

Remarks: Tentatively assigned to [Franciscus Renner, de Heilbronn] by BMC but there is no evidence that Renner was using this type after 1478. Pr assigns the edition to Ratdolt. Sheppard says that ‘the measurement of the type page agrees rather with Ratdolt than with Renner's work.’

Collation

Collation: a10 b8.
