Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century quarter brown morocco, over light-brown paper boards. Manuscript names of authors on lower edge: ‘Catull. Tibull. Proper . . .' indicating that the items were together from early times. The gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

Size: 312 × 210 × 50 mm.

Size of leaf: 304 × 204 mm.

Early marginal and interlinear notes, in at least two different hands, one adding to the commentary; one frequently correcting the text occurs in all items. On a2r of item 1, two verses, written in the same fifteenth/sixteenth-century humanist hand: ‘Benedictus Pampl', with incipit, ‘Ducite gardenses choreas nunc ducite nymphe | Spectatum gaudet Lesbia gaudiolum' and ‘Hieronymus Bononius', with incipit, ‘Delituit dudum tenebrosa nocte Catullus | Abditus et solo nomine notus erat'; also list of contents in an eighteenth-century(?) hand.
