Binding: English nineteenth-century crushed blue morocco; between 1830 (on the rear endleaf, an English dated watermark, shaved, but readable) and 1833, the date of acquisition; gold-tooled with dentelle border; gold-tooled spine and turn-ins; edges gilt.
Size: 175 × 120 × 17 mm.
Size of leaf: 167 × 111 mm.
Some underlining and correction of the text in a faint brown ink, possibly washed.

Provenance: Aulus Janus Parrhasius(?) (1470-1521/2); manuscript notes in his hand(?), but the book is not found in Caterina Tristano, La biblioteca di un umanista calabrese: Aulo Giano Parrasio (Manziana, 1988). William Horatio Crawford (1815-1888); armorial book-plate; cutting from his sale catalogue (1891), lot 655. Ingram Bywater (1840-1914); purchased for £25; Elenchus, no. 863. Bequeathed in 1914.
