On A1r in a sixteenth-century hand: ‘1534 Hunc C Celsum relege[re] institui, quem multis ante hac annis legi. Est enim autor latinus elegans doctus expertus. Hec semel placuit, decies repetita placebit. G K'. Copious early marginal notes in various hands, mainly extracting key words.
