Provenance: Several early names, heavily cropped: on g8r: ‘Thomas Attabey [Allabey?] Foonmend(?)' [perhaps a Welsh placename (ex informatione Julian Roberts]; on k7r: ‘William Foulkes', on n1r: ‘Rober[t] Aret . . .'(?), on q6r: ‘Robert von Geth..'(?), on q5r several inscriptions of the names ‘Rob[ert]', ‘Joh[n]', and ‘Edw[ard]'. Possibly John Selden (1584-1654). Or possibly Edward Lhwyd (1660-1709); name on the front endleaf. If Selden's, presumably presented in 1659, for which see MS. Broxb. 84. 10, p. 19; MS. Selden Supra 111, fol. 58r: ‘Ould Eng. Chron : fol.'; if Lhwyd's, date of acquisition unknown.
