Each of leaves K3-5 has the first of the two settings quoted in GW Anm. 1. Leaf t3r has the woodcut of a king; see GW Anm. 2. Leaf kk5r has the corrected setting; see GW Anm. 3.

Binding: Seventeenth-century blind-tooled calf, Cambridge style. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at the head of the upper cover.

Size: 328 × 230 × 70 mm.

Size of leaf: 315 × 211 mm.

Provenance: Despite the present shelfmark probably not John Selden; not found in the manuscript catalogues of the Selden collection nor in Hyde, Catalogus (1674); in Fysher, Catalogus (1738), I 299, shelfmarked as today.

Size of leaf: 325 × 218 mm.

Leaves from a fifteenth-century printed book used as pastedowns, but mostly covered: the leaves are from an unidentified theological work in Latin, printed in two columns.

On2 A2r an eight-line initial is supplied in blue with pen-flourishing in red; other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; red capital strokes.

Provenance: Old shelfmarks ‘S. 1557' and ‘Cat. N° 65' on front pastedown. Albert Ehrman (1890-1969); bought in 1952 for £325, from Lathrop Colgate Harper; armorial book-plate; accession no. ‘R 1132'. Presented in 1978 by John Ehrman.
