Chrysoloras, Emanuel

Erotemata [Greek with Latin translation].

Analysis of Content

[a1r] Chrysoloras, Emanuel: Ἐρωτήματα . Incipit: ‘ [Ε]ἰς πόσα διαρου̂νται τὰ εἰκοσιτέσσερα γράμματα  . . .’ Incipit: ‘In quot diuiduntur uigintiquattuor litterae . . .’ The abbreviated version of Guarinus Veronensis. Possibly translated by Guarinus Veronensis; see Sabbadini 38-9, and Agostino Pertusi, ‘ ΕΡΩΤΗΜΑΤΑ per la storia e le fonti delle prime grammatiche greche a stampa', Italia medioevale e umanistica, 5 (1962), 321-51, at 325 note 4, who also suggests that the anonymous Latin translation may be that of Guarinus.

[f3v] [Hail Mary.] Incipit: ‘Aue Maria . . .’ Incipit: ‘ Χαι̂ρε Μαρία κεχαριτωμένη  . . .’

[f3v] [The Lord's Prayer.] Incipit: ‘Pater noster . . .’ Incipit: ‘ Πάτερ ἡμω̂ν  . . .’

[f4r] [The Greek alphabet with Latin equivalents and names.]
