Binding: Eighteenth-century mottled calf, decorated with triple gold fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner, and with gold-tooled spine.

Size: 316 × 227 × 40 mm.

Size of leaf: 303 × 202 mm.

Copious early marginal notes in faded brown ink, now washed out, in a German hand.

Provenance: Münster, Westphalia, Jesuits; very faded inscription on H7v: ‘Liber collegii Societatis Jesu Monasterii'. Purchased for £0. 18. 6; see Books Purchased (1855), 14.
