Binding: Italian thick paper wrappers, sewn on three parchment cords laced through the boards and laced inside the covers.

Size: 301 × 208 × 25 mm.

Size of leaf: 289 × 198 mm.

Some early marginal notes, mainly extracting key words; a few are ‘differentiae'; pointing hands and ‘nota' marks. Occasional corrections of text, using erasure. Early pen-trials on s6v.

Provenance: Belgrado family, of Friuli; see G. B. di Crollalanza, Dizionario storico-blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane, 3 vols (Pisa, 1886-90), at I 108; coat of arms in lower margin of a2r: a fess azure between three cocks' heads erased sable crested and jelopped gules; inscription on a1r: ‘De Belgradu'.
