Dicitur tamen Octauius . . .’ This is the last section of the extract from Plutarch which was printed in GW 6902 (C‑299); the section begins on [1 a2r]; this edition may have been based on a copy of GW 6902 which was wanting the first leaf.

Binding: Late sixteenth-century Italian laced case hair sheep parchment with thin inserted boards; two endband slips only, laced through cover.

Size of leaf: 274 × 206 mm.

Copious early marginal notes mainly extracting key words and phrases. Contents of part V appended to the printed list (for parts I–IV) on A1r in an early hand.

Some running titles and book numbers supplied in an early hand in black ink. Pagination supplied in black ink.

Provenance: Christophorus Quadrius (fl. 1671); inscription on A2r: ‘ex libris Christofori Quadrii Mattheani 1671'.
