Binding: Eighteenth-century morocco, bound c.1790 by H. Walther for the Bodleian Library; label inside front endleaf; marbled pastedowns; gilt-edged leaves; the gold stamp of the Library on both covers; according to Morelli the previous binding was Dutch.
Size: 278 × 183 × 33 mm.
Size of leaf: 270 × 165 mm.
On [a2r] a woodcut initial ‘Q' and vine-stem border illuminated in gold, blue, maroon, and green, with initials at the beginning of each work coloured similarly; other epigraphic initials supplied in red or blue. On [a2r] a coat of arms is supplied in outer margin, on a kite-shaped shield, within a green wreath, decorated above and below with gold dots: azure, a lion rampant or, over all a bend of the same charged with three roses gules, the arms of Lion, of Venice (see below): see Pächt and Alexander II, 109 no. pr. 58.

Fragment. Cropped single leaf, [a1] (Cic., Off., I.1.1-2.4), bound between [I10] and [K1] of Biblia [Italian]. [Venice: Adam de Ambergau], 1 Oct. 1471 (B‑339(1)).
Size of fragment: 202 × 202 mm.
On the recto, an eight-line Italian initial ‘Q' is supplied in gold, surrounded by white vine-stems defined in red, blue or green, extending into the inner margin.
