Binding: Mid sixteenth-century French laced case limp calf parchment; overlapping head and tail turn-ins; sewn on six twisted alum tawed supports which are laced through the cover; comb lining; remains of silk headband; two green silk ties, now almost completely lost.

Size of leaf: 314 × 206 mm.

Fragments of a parchment manuscript used as reinforcing strips.

Occasional early marginal notes, mainly from gathering A onwards.

Provenance: Inside the upper cover ‘Achille Richerdio logeant a la lecorne en la rue de la chapele a Bruxeles' in a sixteenth-century(?) hand. Acquired before 1738; see Fysher (1738) I 580.
