Provenance: Theodor Georg von Karajan (1810-1873); on the front endleaf an inscription dated [1]841. Purchased in 1887 for 150 Marks (£6. 15. 0) from Albert Cohn, Catalogue 184, no. 146 from the donation of £100 from a member of All Souls' College (Sir William Reynell Anson (1843-1914)); see Library Bills, 7 Oct. 1887.
