Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, one central boss on the upper cover, three bosses on the lower cover (one lost) and two metal clasps. On both covers fillets form a triple frame. Within the outer frame is a repeated tiny floral stamp; within the inner frame is a repeated rectangular stamp with small lozenge-shaped ornaments. In the inner rectangle, a lozenge-shaped foliate and floral stamp with a thistle ornament.
