Binding: Contemporary German or Dutch blind-tooled pigskin (or calf?) over bevelled wooden boards, two clasps lost; rebacked with red leather and covered with red paper for Douce. On both covers fillets form four compartments. In the compartments are panel-stamps depicting saints, with lettering, worn and not identified.
Size: 210 × 147 × 41 mm.
Size of leaf: 198 × 136 mm.
Initials are supplied in black ink in a contemporary hand.
Provenance: On item 1 a deleted ownership inscription dated 1580. Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate. Bequeathed in 1834.
