Wanting leaf [a4], supplied in manuscript. Wanting the blank leaves [a1], [b1], and [t12]. Some margins cropped and repaired.

Binding: Eighteenth-century English calf; on both covers a single gold fillet forms a frame; probably bound for the Bodleian Library shortly after acquisition; for similar bindings see A‑522; single gold fillet on edges of boards; Greek-key tool on turn-ins; gilt edges; marbled pastedowns; the gold stamp of the Library on both covers. According to Morelli the earlier binding was Dutch.

Size: 295 × 217 × 35 mm.

Size of leaf: 284 × 195 mm.

A few early marginal notes in humanist hands.

On [b1r], [d8v], [s9r], and [t8v] six- and seven-line initials are supplied in gold with infill of white vine-stems defined in pink, pale brown, and pale green; initial cut out on [s3v]. Other initials are supplied in red or faded blue; paragraph marks are supplied in red. See Pächt and Alexander II, 107 no. pr. 21.
