Binding: Nineteenth-century English blind-tooled calf, for the British Museum (1860's according to note by A. W. Pollard, Library Records c. 1054, see below), with its stamp on both covers.
Size: 381 × 275 × 36 mm.
Size of leaf: 372 × 251 mm.
On [a2r] a 12-line initial ‘R' is supplied in interlocked red and blue. Other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue. Underlining and capital strokes in red.
Provenance: Kaisheim, Bavaria, Cistercian abbey(?); an erased inscription on [a2r]: ‘ . . . BVM in Cæsarea'. Duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich; ‘Duplum' in pencil on front endleaf. London, British Museum; purchased in 1867: stamp on [B8v]; shelfmarks: ‘IC.7375', ‘3845 f', ‘5063 f 1'; duplicate stamp on [a2v] and [B8v]. Transferred to the Bodleian in Oct. 1913; see ‘List of Duplicate Incunabula' (Library Records c. 1054), no. 2.
