Remarks: The colophon reading ‘Florentiae, 1487, x kalen, Iulias' (with variant date 1492, see BMC) was reprinted from the genuine Florentine edition of that date (Florence: Antonius Francisci, Venetus, 22 June 1487). GW assigns to [Tommaso di Piasi], BMC to [Christophorus de Pensis, de Mandello].

Provenance: Probably Luigi Celotti (c.1768-c.1846); sale (14 Feb. 1825), lot 672; in Sotheby's annotated copy of the catalogue marked down for £0. 10. 0. to ‘B', i.e. Bulkeley Bandinel or Bodleian. Purchased for £0. 10. 0; see Books Purchased (1825), 9, listed under ‘Epistolae'.
