Leaf [*2] not blank as GW: [*2r], title in type 205 (P. 10): ‘Diurnale hora= | rum ƥm rubricā | breuiarij eccleſie | Bambergenſis'.

Binding: Contemporary blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards with one metal clasp and catch, the remains of a second, and metal corner-pieces. On both covers fillets form a frame, within which is a foliate staff roll. In the inner rectangle headed-outline tools make up merrythoughts. On the spine is a repeated foliate stamp, now very worn. On the upper cover is a paper label bearing a coat of arms: gules, two crossed keys, argent. Leather index tabs.

Size: 129 × 97 × 46 mm.

Size of leaf: 122 × 87 mm.

Provenance: Sebaldus Schreyer (1446-1520); coat of arms on [b8v]: party per chapé-ployé sable and or, bust of a negress and in chief two apples of the second; see Siebmacher, Bd. 6, Abt. 1, 91; an inscription above: ‘Vtens hoc libro oret pro Sebaldo Schreyer suisque progenitoribus'; see Wagner 83-4. Revd W. T. Spurdens; armorial book-plate.
