Provenance: John Mozley Stark; label on pastedown; sale, 16 July 1888, lot 1399, where it is incorrectly assigned to ‘Venet. J. de Colonia, N. Jenson sociorumque'. Purchased in 1888 at the Stark sale, out of the donation of £100 from a member of All Souls College [Sir William Reynell Anson, Warden of All Souls (1843-1914)]; note written on upper pastedown: ‘out of the donation of £100 received from a member of All Souls'.
