Bound in two volumes: vol. 1 contains pts 1, 2, and 5, the latter being bound first; vol. 2(1) contains pts 3-4. I7-8 bound in reverse order. Sheet EE3.6 is bound within sheet EE4.5, which is reversed.
Binding: vol. 1: contemporary English (`Octagonal Rose Binder') stamped calf over wooden boards; rebacked. Two clasps lost. On both covers triple fillets form concentric intersecting frames. Within the outer frame is a lozenge-shaped floral stamp (Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings pl. XXV, no. 323) and an octagonal rosette stamp (Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings pl. XXV, no. 324). The inner rectangle is divided by triple fillets into triangular and lozenge-shaped compartments, decorated with the floral and rosette stamps and a circular lion rampant stamp (Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings pl. XXV, no. 329), a lozenge-shaped double-headed eagle stamp (Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings pl. XXV, no. 321), and a small flower-petal stamp (Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings pl. XXV, no. 326); for vol. 2, see D‑164.

Vol. 1: on a2r an eleven-line initial ‘C' is supplied in red, with red pen-work foliate infill, all within a black pen-work border, with extensions into the margins; other initials supplied in red or blue. Vol. 2: initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; capital strokes and underlining in red.
Provenance (of vol. 1): John Myry (Murray?) (fifteenth/sixteenth century); an inscription on rr8r of vol. 1: ‘Joannes Myry te . . . [deletion] te salutat'. Pencil shelfmark on <1 2 3 4>1r: ‘F.8.5'. Purchased in 1961.
