The two-colour printed initials at the beginning of each book are omitted, also the red-printed headings of books 4 and 8 and the sub-headings in the latter part of books 6, 7, and 8; see GW Anm. 1, 1, and 6. Col. 2, line 44 on [c7v] reads ‘Nt' cūcta eccīe . . .'; col. 1, line 2 on [r1r] reads ‘Ostq[uam] de diuīs . . .'; see GW Anm. 1, 5.
Binding: Eighteenth-century red morocco, gold-tooled and inlaid; marbled pastedowns; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

A few early marginal notes.
On [a1r] a 13-line German initial 'Q' is supplied in green with acanthus-leaf decoration highlighted in white and black within a pale blue frame, on a gold ground; the space defined by the letter is gold highlighted with foliate decoration; foliate and floral extensions into the upper, inner, and lower margins in green, red, blue, and ochre with some gold dotting; initials beginning each book are supplied in similar style; other initials are supplied in red or blue; running headlines and paragraph marks are supplied in red; red capital strokes and underlining. The illuminator was probably working for the Fust & Schoeffer's workshop (ex informatione Mayumi Ikeda).
Binding: Bethlehem (Herent), near Louvain, Priory, BVM, Augustinian Canons; on [h2r] an erased inscription: ‘Pertinet monasterio de bethleem iuxta Lou[ianum]'. On [n6r] a partly erased inscription: ‘Pro Monasterio Regularium [ ]'. Pietro-Antonio Bolongaro-Crevenna (1735-1792); printed label ‘285'; sale (1789), lot 285; in the annotated catalogue marked down to Payne for Fl. 920.
