Binding: Contemporary German (unidentified, Kyriß workshop no. 167) blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards; one clasp lost. On both covers triple fillets form an outer border, and also concentric intersecting frames. On the upper cover inside the outer frame, is a repeated foliate staff stamp (Kyriß pl. 335, no. 6); inside the second frame is a floral roll and a cresting roll (Kyriß pl. 335, no. 7), and inside the third frame is a second cresting roll; the inner rectangle is divided by further triple fillets into triangular and lozenge-shaped compartments decorated with a lozenge-shaped foliate stamp and a small cross stamp. On the lower cover inside the outer frame, is a repeated large rosette stamp; inside the second frame is the foliate staff stamp (Kyriß pl. 335, no. 6), and inside the third, the floral roll and the first cresting roll (Kyriß pl. 335, no. 7); the inner rectangle is divided as on the upper cover, and is decorated with the small cross stamp and a lozenge-shaped heart stamp (Kyriß pl. 335, no. 5). Contemporary manuscript label on the upper cover; later labels on spine.
