Wanting the unsigned title-leaf added to gathering a in some copies; in this copy there is a contemporary manuscript one.

Binding: Contemporary German (Nuremberg, successor of the Minoriten-Binder, Kyriß workshop no. 121) quarter pigskin over wooden boards, one metal clasp; Buntpapier pastedowns. Manuscript title on fore-edge. On the upper cover stamps of fleurons surrounded by merrythoughts; on the lower cover a floral roll with a five-petalled flower, see Kyriß pl. 243, no. 2. Title across the spine.

Size: 225 × 155 × 59 mm.

Size of leaf: 210 × 150 mm.

Provenance: Hammelburg, Bavaria, Franciscan Recollects, Province of Thuringia, S. Elizabetha; on front pastedown printed book-label lettered ‘Sum Bibliothecae Fratrum Minorum Recollectorum Provincie Thuringiæ S. Elisabethæ Conventûs Hammelburgensis ad Ss. 14. Auxiliares Anno 1704'. John Noble Coleman (1791-1872); on front and back pastedown armorial book-plate (Howe, Book Plates, 6383). Sheppard notes that this item was purchased in 1966 from Sotheby's, lot 103A.
