[D]olor me compellit dicere et iniquitas mea comminatur mihi . . .’ A different translation of the text which in the preceding entry, at b7r, is called ‘De vita et exercitatione monastica'; on the translation of this sermon see DSAM IV,1 816.

Binding: Sixteenth-century French, c.1520 (Lyons) blind-tooled calf over wooden boards; two clasps lost; rebacked. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at head of the upper cover. Titles along the upper edge; ‘6' on upper part of fore-edge. Within double fillets a roll of Renaissance vases (Gid roll RCg6); within a further set of fillets a roll of interlaced pineapples (Gid AEa7); in the central panel four vertical rolls, two of Gid AEa7, and two of cherubs (Gid CHf9); the two latter occur together on Gid binding no. 365, ascribed to a Lyonnais bindery, on a book from Lyons, 1522 cf. item 2 in this volume.
