[a1r] Faela, Johannes Nicolaus: [Dedicatory letter addressed to] Hieronymus Riarius, count of Imola. ‘Iohannes Nicola Faela eques Veronensis et iurisconsultus, ad excellentissimum d. comitem Hyeronimum Imole dominum De origine et laudibus Maffeorum.’ Incipit: ‘[P]rinceps illustris et magnanime domine admirabitur, ut existimo, d. tua quid sit quod ego nullius auctoritatis ...’ [a7r] Explicit: ‘... cui ob innumerabiles virtutes tuas excellentiamque magnanimitatis immortalitas et gloria debeatur apud omnem posteritatem. Vale, princeps illustris.’ [Dated Verona, 27 Apr. 1480].

[c1r] Maffeus, Benedictus: Epistola, [addressed to] Oliverius [Carafa Sabinensis], Cardinal-archbishop of Naples. Incipit: ‘[V]rbem Romam multarum nationum conuentu constitutam et auctam, amplissime pater . . .’ Letter dated 12 Dec. 1482.
