Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century half brown morocco; marbled paper boards; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

Size: 275 × 194 × 36 mm.

Size of leaf: 267 × 181 mm.

Early marginal annotations, mainly extracting key words, and underlining in the text in the same hand in items 1, 2 and 6.

Provenance: Mario Maffei (1463-1537); inscription on [a1r] of item 1: ‘De figliuoli et eredi di M. Mario Maffei'. There is no evidence to suggest that the items were together before the present binding. Frederic North, 5th Earl of Guilford (1766-1827); damaged anonymous armorial book-plate with motto; not found in sale catalogues. Purchased from R. F. Sweetinburgh for £0. 12. 0; see Books Purchased (1832), 18.
