Partial rubrication in both works: some initials are supplied in red; some capital strokes and underlining in red. The style of rubrication suggests that the two parts were travelling together from soon after the time they were printed.

Provenance: Coupar Angus Abbey, Tayside, Cistercians; this item is not listed in Ker, Medieval Libraries; fifteenth/sixteenth-century inscription on [A2r] of item 1: ‘Liber beate Marie de Cupro'. James Smart (fl. 1691); inscriptions in both items: in item 1, on [A1v]: ‘Jacobus Smart hoc libro utitur', and on [A8v]: ‘Ex libris Jacobi Smart 1691'; in item 2, on h4v: ‘Jacobus Smart est huius libri legittimus possessor anno domini 1688'. William Adams; signature on [a1r] of item 2. Robert Mylne, perhaps to be identified with Robert Mylne (1643?–1747); signature on [a1r] of item 2; given book by William Adams in 1730; inscription on A2r of item 1: ‘This book belonged to Abb[ ] of Cuper now to Robert Mylne by gift of Mr. Wm.
