a2r [German translation in verse.] Incipit: ‘Nun geth auff ein guldener Schein | Lern vnd lyß der sitten Puchlein.’ The translation is printed below each Latin couplet.

Copious early marginal and interlinear annotations, mainly providing Latin synonyms. On a1r a verse in a fifteenth/sixteenth-century hand, ‘Cum demon aliquem confundere vult maledictum | nititur vt longum [ ]tur sibi amicum'. Cropped note on a1v, also in a fifteenth/sixteenth-century hand, ‘Vero splendore [ ] | quatuor [ ] stare solet.’
