Binding: Seventeenth-century English calf over pasteboards. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at the head of the upper cover. Marble-edged leaves, ‘23' across the upper part of the fore-edge.

Size: 220 × 158 × 70 mm.

Size of leaf: 208 × 149 mm.

‘29' and ‘G.7.7.' on the front pastedown.

Early marginal comment on K8v; some marginal notes, extracting key words, and ‘nota bene' marks.

Provenance: Peter Langton (fifteenth/sixteenth century); ‘Petrus Langtonus' in an early hand on Aa1r. John Smith (†1538); on a2r: ‘Liber Johannis Smith rectoris de Bylborug[h]'. Sir William Aschew (sixteenth/seventeenth century); ‘Orate rogo obtestorque pro bono statu(?) [ ] viri salute Willelmi Aschew alias Aschoght militis [ ] librum [ ] mihi seu michi donat[or]is', in a sixteenth/seventeenth-century(?) hand. ‘Sende this to Mr. Bregions howse to Lincolne to be deliuered to me Walter Walker the owner thereof'. ‘Petrus Whitchrade jure mutui'. Despite the shelfmark this is not a Selden copy. Acquired by 1843; see Catalogus (1843), II 186.
