Binding: Contemporary French(?) blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, with metal catch, rebacked. Double fillets form a frame; the inner rectangle is divided by diagonal triple fillets into lozenge-shaped compartments, each with a fleur-de-lis stamp.

Size: 150 × 106 × 24 mm.

Size of leaf: 138 × 96 mm.

Early marginal annotation, commenting on the text, on B7r; some early pointing hands; early signature on S8v and T3v, hardly legible.

Provenance: Johannes Hitzler (fl. 1496); inscription on A1r: ‘Iure emtionis: S. Ios. Hitzler 1496'. Purchased in 1941; see ‘Notable Accessions: Printed Books', BLR 1,15 (1941), 257.
